(It’s technically the same day as our arrival, but because of the time difference, it’s now the 19th in Japan time.)
We took the usual, comfortable route back to our Kyoto home, by Shuttle bus route 8, and then taxi to Shijo-Kawaramachi. It’s been awhile since our last visit, but things seem oddly familiar and yet unfamiliar too. Freshened up a little and went for dinner.
Our first meal is dinner.

Located right outside our house along Kiyamachi-dori. Auntie and Uncle wanted to take us to this really lovely restaurant with outdoor seating at a balcony 納涼床 along 鴨川. Their meal sets are a tad pricey but well worth it. Food was great, with a huge assortment of everything, all decorated and plated beautifully, everything looked appealing, and my mouth was watering big time. Auntie and Uncle ordered a hot pot, although slightly smaller portions, everything looked and tasted great. Although I really wanted to taste the soup, hehe. Even the last course of rice in a pot smelled really great, we just couldn’t eat that much. Once again we see how unwilling Japanese culture is to waste food, and they offered to have it packed for us, which they did by rolling them into onigiri. (Tasted really great as next mornings breakfast too!)
Temperature was comfortable tonight with a slight breeze, atmosphere was relaxing, and service was absolutely amazing, as always in Japan!

Exhausted and went to bed early
