Vancouver, BC, Canada • Day 14
55 It’s a gloomy morning this morning, it’s almost as if the weather of Vancouver couldn’t bear to bid us farewell.
10 Sam Ip comes by to pick us up for a breakfast at Metrotown McDonalds. Had another mcgriddle, although this one was rather haphazardly slapped together. Tastes just as great though.
Refunded the first Guess handbag. Despite the first sales making it sound so easy, this one was definitely displeased at helping us refund it. Except I’m not the only one that would choose the 30% discount over a display scratched up item, right?

28 Claudia and Jacky’s pad. The weather seems to have lifted a bit as we arrived at Claudia and Jacky’s place. Their place was so pretty, almost clutter free and inviting. I could imagine a life in here. Hehe. They made Japanese style fried udon and takoyaki for us all! The takoyaki was made in a cake pop machine, and looked almost authentic, despite being slightly larger than usual.
04-15:45 Thank you to Jacky for driving us here on last minute notice. What should have been a quick drive turned out much longer for the traffic jam at coquitlam bridge.
03 Uncle Mo Donair, $6.xx. Met up with a rather displeased Vincent, to return his SIM card. I guess the “last day” feeling was also making me grouchy, but I am very grateful to Vincent for lending me his SIM card and for going out of his way to help us.
39 BC liquor store. Vincent’s friend working at this particular location, and could suggest a couple good ice wines which made for good souvenirs. Good thing we didn’t buy it an Metrotown, the price for that particular one was the same but there was a lot more choices.
42 Waves coffee. Probably should be more supportive of “proudly Canadian” establishments, Kinhi had a mocha which was, okay. Borrowed their wifi to meet up with cousins. Vincent had to get back to work. I guess I don’t like goodbyes anymore than he does, and he slipped away just like that, till next time~
12-17:27 Walk to coquitlam station was fairly easy despite being a bit scary as we were in wide open sparse (HK standards) area without google maps.
13 Took the skytrain to Patterson station, where Jo picked us up.
21 The Keg.
