Amazing weather

Claudia’s wedding!!!! 
It’s THE big day, one I was looking forward to from end of last year, and even longer for the couple themselves. We got up at 09:30 (despite me planning to wake earlier and help out with bits and ends) and a flurry of makeup and trying on dresses from my limited wardrobe. Too excited for breakfast, although Kelly spoon fed me a couple bites of congee, hehe.  

10:45 the groom and grooms men eventually arrived, and the games began. They were all interesting games where the bridesmaid had carefully planned and the groomsmen executed hilariously. But as to be expected, the groom will serenade the bride to come out. There was the tea ceremony, where the bride and groom present tea to their elders, from parents to elder siblings, and receive their blessings from red packets to gold jewellery.  

13:59 Bubble World. Taiwanese bubble tea and food place. Had takoyaki, two fried chicken, and bubble tea drink each. As the bridal party headed to the groom’s home, we had a little time to ourselves for a quick lunch and haircut.  

15:18 While I was waiting for my hair cut, did some grocery shopping meantime. Got two packets of salmon jerky, green peas, and a instant fried udon.

Got a quick trim of my fringes for $15. I was rather worried right before the cut, but it turned out okay. (Later on I saw a $8 haircut salon on Kingsway, but then I’d probably not have the courage this close to an important event). 

16:19 Arrived at the golf course. The sky was still bright and cloudless, the sun was out but not too sweaty, and the weather was just perfect for this perfect couple to tie the knot! Amidst endless green grassy lawns and ponds, the bridesmaid and groomsmen walk up in pairs, then the groom comes up with his mom, then appears Claudia, a beautiful and shining bride, accompanied by her parents. They exchange very touching vows, I’m sure everyone felt teary eyed.  

17:48 Pronounced mr and mrs!!!! They sign the papers, the celebration begins!

19:19 Dinner starts at the beautiful glass building, with two big halls, I bet they host a lot of dinner parties and weddings. The head tables (parents of both bride and groom) got to buffet first, whereas the others had to answer some questions correctly before we got to eat, one of those included sharing a secret of the bride or groom (what a scary thing to include!! 😂).

They had games not just for the bridal party but also the guests as well, then they had secret surprises for each other, aww how sweet! Then the bride and groom led on the dance floor. I feel old, just lack the energy to break out the moves, whilst to仔 literally ran out there and his head flinging dance~😂
