15:30 Kawaramachi station by Hankyu Line to 烏丸 station, then Shijo station by 地下鐵烏丸前 Line to Karasumaoike (からすまおいけ, 烏丸御前) station. Tozai Line to Nijomae stn.

16:30 Nijojo-mae. Main gate was under construction.

19:05 英すし ¥3780. A really small bar style sushi restaurants. Run by one women and chef (didn’t ask for particulars 😜), they and all the eaters coming in have to stand around the bar. The menu is on the wall in Japanese, and you can ask for an English menu. There’s sets with sake and an assortment of sushi, exactly what we had, yummy!!
